Female Puberty:-
Definition:-development of non-functioning sex organ (9-12 years).
Causes of puberty :-
Decrease sensitivity of ovary to GnTH lead to increase secretion of estrogen.
Causes of decrease sensitivity of ovary to GnRH:-
1) Pre-programmed age related sensitivity
2) Decrease Melatonin leading to increase GnTH that cause increase estrogen
3) Increase leptin( Body weight related sensitivity)
Manifestation:-
A. Development of primary sex organ :- Development of ovary
Functions of ovary:-
1) Production of ova (oogenesis).
2) Secrete hormones (estrogen and progesterone).
B. Development of secondary sex organ:-
1) System of duct and tubule for transport of gamete
2) System of accessory glands which needed for nutrition and vitality
C. Development of sex character :-
1)Hair:- a)pubis: Triangle in shape , apex downward because presence of DHEA only .
b)axillary: Because presence of DHEA only .
c)chest: Not present
d)bared: Not present
e)frontal Frontal hair line recede foreword.
2)Voice :- Sharp (larynx small and vocal cords contracted ).
3)fat:- More in buttock .
muscle:- **less development.
4)shoulder:-
chest:- naroww
pelvis:- Rounded.
Wide to give passage of baby.
D. Rounded configuration.
*sex drive and hair have relation to DHEA.
Male puberty:-
- Definition:- maturation of non-functioning reproductive system (10-14 years). Causes of puberty in male:-
-Testosteron:-
After it make complete development of primary sex organ at I.U.L, testosteron will stop after birth until puberty. At 45-50 testosteron reach its peak because there is more I.C.S.H. after that it decreases and people need testosteron replacing therapy. Before puberty there is high sensitivity of testis to GnTH so, when small amount of testosteron released. It will be inhibited but at puberty there is low sensitivity of testis to GnTH.

1) Pre-programmed age related sensitivity.
2) Decrease Melatonin leading to increase GnTH that cause increase testosteron.
3) Body weight related sensitivity by hormone leptin.

2) Interstitial cell of leydig secrete hormone testosteron.
B. Development of secondary sex organs:-
1) System of duct and tubule: epididymis and ductus deference.
2) System of accessory gland sex 2 seminal vesicles, prostate, 2 bubo- urethral glands.
C. Development of secondary sex character:-
1)Hair:-
a)pubis: Extend from umbilical downward to the groin in form of triangle the apex up word because presence of DHEA and D.H.T.
b)axillary: Because presence of DHEA and D.H.T.
c)chest: present
d)bared: present
e)frontal Frontal hair line recede backward (not boldness it is genetic .
2)Voice :- Deep (larynx large and vocal cords relaxed).
3)fat:- less
muscle:-

4)shoulder:- Broad
chest:- Flat. .
pelvis:- Narrow.
